Dominyk kick-started his professional photographic career by capturing on film the diversity of Africa’s wildlife and natural landscapes while working as a safari guide in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park.
Today, Dominyk is based in Arusha, Tanzania – just a stone's throw away from the awe inspiring Ngorongoro Crater and vast Serengeti National Park.
Dominyk has photographed weddings and portaits in locations as far a field as Mumbai, India, and Arusha, Tanzania. He honed his skills as a wedding and portrait photographer in his home town of Sydney, Australia, where he developed a unique ability to capture powerful, spontaneous images.
Dominyk has travelled, camera in tow, to over 70 countries in the last 20 years. In 2001, he returned to his home city of Sydney, Australia, to undertake a Masters Degree in Environmental Science at the University of Sydney. In order to fund his studies, Dominyk worked as a freelance photographer. He won the coveted Yellowglen Young Australian Photographer award that same year for a series of photographs taken on the banks of the Ganges River in Varanasi, India. |
